Storage and Expiration

To ensure optimal freshness of all our Frozen kits, it is recommended to keep them frozen until you're ready to use them. When stored in the freezer, they can last for up to 6 months, whereas in the refrigerator, they will remain fresh for approximately 5 days. If you prefer using an Instant Pot to cook the kits, there's usually no need to defrost them beforehand, making it convenient to leave them in the freezer until you're ready to cook.

Our sauces are shelf-stable nature and can remain fresh for up to 6 months when stored in a cool place. However, we highly recommend freezing them if possible, as it not only enhances their preservation but also offers added convenience. Freezing the sauces allows for easy extraction: simply cut along three sides, peel off the cover, and the sauce will effortlessly slip out.

The grains and Lentils are shelf stable and will last 6+ months. 

 

Getting a burn signal on the Instant Pot

While it is uncommon, if you encounter a burn signal on your Instant Pot, it typically indicates that the steam release valve has not been properly set to the "sealing" position, preventing the pot from sealing correctly.

Another potential cause of the burn signal is if there are residual food particles or debris at the bottom of the pot, which can trigger the signal as well. It is important to ensure the pot is thoroughly cleaned to avoid this issue.

Left Overs

Once cooked, the dish should remain fresh for up to 4 days when stored properly in the fridge in a lidded container.

If you're reheating lentils and kchidis, it is recommended to add a small amount of water to maintain their desired consistency during the reheating process.
