This tangy tomato sauce pairs perfectly with chickpeas.
Sauce Ingredients: Organic Tomatoes, Organic Onions, Avocado Oil, Organic Lemon Juice, Organic Ginger, Organic Garlic, Spices, Green Chili & Salt
TIP: cut packet on three sides for easy transfer
At home you need:
- 1 to 1.5 cans of chickpeas, drained
- salt, we added sparingly, adjust to taste
Instant Pot Instructions
- Add 1 cup water, chickpeas, and then sauce.
- SEAL and cook on HIGH PRESSURE for 7 minutes.
- Once done, rest for 10 minutes and then VENT to release the remaining pressure.
- Open lid and mash a handful of chickpeas to thicken sauce. Enjoy!
Stovetop Instructions
- Sauté chickpeas in the sauce for about 2 minutes.
- Add 1.25 to 1.50 cups of water to cover chickpeas. Bring to boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cook covered for 10 minutes, or till the chickpeas are soft.
- Open the lid and simmer to thicken sauce if desired.
- Mash a handful of beans for creamy texture. Enjoy!
Garnish with: onions, cilantro, lemon or yogurt Serve with: poori, naan, rice or on its own
